Back from Reno
Well, I survived my first great road trip. Mom, dad, and I all piled into the cavalier and headed up the sierras to Reno, NV. It was really a great trip, the motion of the car made me sleep really well and when I got there I got to feel the cool mountain air. Then I spent my time walking around the Grand Sierra Resort (aka Reno Hilton) with patti and enjoying the new sights and sounds. The flashing lights and ringing slot machines were very interesting. The only drawback is we were always running away from second hand smoke. Overall, it was a fun trip. I even got to watch dad save his poker career by eking out $100 in profits at the tables. It was a quite a seesaw, but with his last $25 he went threw it in with pocket 3's and flopped 4 of a kind. If only he had a little more bankroll he could have padded my college fund a little more. Well here are a couple highlights, first me and patti checking out one of the slots...

And here we are out in front posing with the huge statue of stallions...

Sure looks like you all had a great time. I'm glad your dad came out ahead. but I think patti was the real winner getting to spend some time with you. Grandma and Grandpa just go back from NY visiting your 2nd cousin Dave the NY Giant. We had a great time and got to watch the Giants squeak out a win against the Texans. We love you all.
