Relaxing in Barcelona... and running into Ro
We made it to Barcelona after a long trip. It was alot of work packing up everything in Enschede and getting it all to the airport, but somehow it happened. Thanks again to Claire and Rick for helping us out. Barcelona is just great, the weather is perfect despite the fact that the forecast wasn't calling for good weather. We haven't done much, just alot of relaxing. We did go to Las Ramblas and enjoyed a nice walk with all the people and street vendors. Here is mom and me on Las Ramblas...
We were heading toward the beach when another amazing coincidence happened. Now there are alot of Indian guys selling agua, cervecas, or cocacola near the beach.... but this one looked a little familiar. Just by chance we happened upon Rohin!! Also, his friend Kris. Needless to day we all proceeded to the beach and had a couple pitchers of really good sangria. Well, I just got to chew on an empty cup and then took a nap. Here we are near the beach cafe...
BTW, we didn't even notice when our bartender took her break and tanned topless on the beach near the cafe. After the beach, Rohin came back to our place and without hesitation changed his plans to just to go our for another dinner in Barcelona with us. We all went for some good tapas and gelato.
Anyway, the beach was so nice and relaxing we decided to go again the following day. This time we further away, where we heard the beaches were quieter and nicer. First, we had some lunch on the beach cafe...
Then I got to spend a couple hours playing in the sand. I was really amazed by this sand stuff, I just kept grabbing handfuls and letting it slip through my fingers...

I almost went into the water, but it was a little too cold. So, we headed back to clean up and go out to eat. We went to a place for paella that was recommended by a local, which turned out to be really good. That is all for now, tomorrow is our last day here... so see you all soon.

We're glad you had a little time to relax. Did you really like how the sand feels? We know you're way back to Cali, but both sets of G & G's wish you were even closer so we could see you more often and give you lots of kisses. Love you lots!!!!
