Down on the farm

This past weekend while I was in Chicago for my cousin's baptism, I also got to go downstate to a real operating farm. In part it was a pig farm, so here I am checking out the main attraction with grandma and Liv...



Of course, every farm has tractors! And as you will see John Deere is the brand of choice. I started out taking this minature for a spin...



Then I graduated up to check out the cab of this old antique...



And finally, I climbed up in the cab of the biggest one, a 9600 combine. HEre I am taking a rest in the wheel...


We caught some frogs, saw a redneck bar, had a great dinner, ahd did alot of relazing. Her I am on the see-saw swing with YaYa...

Oh, in case you were worried I did see alot of soybeans and corn. In fact, probably about 3,000 acres of it!! That is 5 square miles for those wondering. As you can see it is almost ready for harvest, here I am taking a look at the stalks...
