Catching Up - Part 2

My nephew EJ is very cool, he took surf lessons when he was visiting. So, I got to watch him learn to ride the waves. I can't wait to give that a try someday too. While I was watching him I would play in the sand and find rocks....

Here he is suiting up with a very serious look on his face...

One day while EJ was surfing I went to lunch with Auntie Anne and dad and I got my first taste of a lemon, wow that thing was sour...

Although it didn't stop me from putting it in my mouth and making that sour face over and over again. After lunch we went down to the pier for a walk...

Before Auntie Anne and EJ went back home we took a little roadtrip. EJ had his last day of surf camp and we all piled into the car, I slept most of the way... but, late at night I woke up to a city of lights...

Yes, we were in Vegas baby! Or should I say, I'm a baby in Vegas! What can a 1 year old and his 7 year old cousin do in Vegas... well, game of course. Here we are with some of the loot we got from Circus Circus...
And here we are in the Hard Rock admiring the light fixtures...

It was quite fun and I should also mention that we saw my soon to be Auntie Jessica there too. She was going out in style and had her bachelorette party in Vegas. I'll have to review the photo's to see if any are baby bloggable... but, I already know the rule... "what happens in vegas stays in vegas." Next stop on the way back was Los Angeles. Here we got to see the walk of the stars and the theater with the hand/footprints...
I also found out why my Aunt is so famous...
And we found a really cool fountain to play in...
I guess this brings me to August, the first interesting event was a visit from my friend Shyre. You can read all about that on her blog here...

My next big event was a trip to Chicago for my Uncle Andrew's wedding. That was a really fun trip. Here I am getting cleaned up for the big day...
Look how happy I am because I got to spent some time in the church with my great grandma...
My tha tha and pati also made the trip to Chicago.... I do think my hat looks good on tha that, don't you?
Here are some shots from the recetion...
Looks like my cousin Tyler and I have the same great taste in clothes...

I was really happy to spend some time with Tyler, we got to do alot of playing around...

And of course after all that, we were both exhausted and needed a nap...

I also had a pre-birthday party in Chicago, I was turning 1 in a few weeks but by then I'd be back in Santa Barbara. So, my Auntie Aimee hosted a pre-party for me. Here I am at the party trying on my matching hat with tha tha...
Hmmm this looks interesting.... a flaming cake...
Wow, that cake was good... I'm never going back to that canned baby food! I also got to meet my friend Jack. Here we are having a bottle together... someday it we'll be sharing pitchers of beer like our dads did....
Well, back to Santa Barbara and it is now early September. You can tell my tha tha really loves me, because he traveled all the way across the country to spend his birthday with me. Here we are at our own little bbq...
We also went to the beach, I always have a great time at the beach...
And we went to visit several relatives....
First, Chinni who is now back at home and in good spirits
Then in the bay area we saw just about everyone from Ramesh, Usha, Anisha to Ron and Ruku (who hosted a birthday celebration for tha tha) to Liz, Giri, and the kids...
September is also special because my Uncle Satish came for a visit. We did all sorts of fun stuff, check out this really cool picture of us playing in the ocean...
We also went up in the mountains for some hiking...

And found this 100 year tree or bush or something... ask Satish, he knows...

Finally, September 21st was my first birthday. And a really big package appeared in the mail for me...

Wow, I got a Disney car! The horn was most interesting at first, but then I realized I could stand behind it and push it around to practice walking too.

OK, this monster of a blog post pretty much covers the end of July through September. I'm just about caught up.... at least I'm getting there.
