Day at the spa
Well aparently the light therapy worked well, I was slated for 2 days worth and was sent home after 1 day. Mom and dad were quite scared after they read things about jaundice on the internet. But, I seemed to recover well and am feeling alot more energetic now.
This incident made me realize that doctors must be one of the few groups that hate the invention of the internet. Before that invention, they diagnosed problems and parents would have to listen to their professional opinions and take their word. Nowadays, two worried parents armed with an internet condition and a few search terms can become self proclaimed experts in about 20 mintutes of research. Then when the doctor walks in the tell it like it is, the parents are already armed with dozens of leading qustions. And with nerdy parents like mine, it gets really grusome when the details of how many mg/dL of bilirubin are acceptable at what stage of life.
Anyway, we got home at about 4pm today (Sunday). Here is one relieved mom doing a little resting on her new glider...

Since I kinda felt like I was in a spa under the lights, I figured I better celebrate my 2nd release from the hosptial with more spa type R&R. First, a little aromatherapy with the flowers from patti, thatha, and my great aunts (Rukku patti & Indira pripatti). Thanks for the flowers guys!

Next a little snack...

Then a little massage and a warm bath...

Which incidentially was my first bath since the obligatory afterbirth scrubdown. Of course, dad being an expert in hygine and bathing in particular took good care of me. Notice the very special hooded bath towel, quite nice. I got a little hair styling with my soft brush. And finally a manicure...

As you can see it was a tough 4th day of life here, but how often can one say that the spent probably about 50% of their existence getting spa treatments.
